Privacy notice
Last updated 11 October 2026. Short version: I keep what you type into the contact form so I can reply, plus simple, cookie-free visit statistics so I know whether the site is useful. All of it stays on my own server.
Who I am
Hossam Labs is run by Mohamed Hossam, based in Egypt. For anything about your data, email mohamed@hossamlabs.com.
What I collect
- What you enter in the contact form: your name, work email, the task you describe, and, if you choose to add them, your company website, the tools you use, your WhatsApp number and how soon you need help.
- A one-way scrambled version of your IP address and your browser type, used only to block spam and abuse. I can’t turn it back into your IP address.
- Visit statistics, described below.
I don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and I don’t sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
Visit statistics
To understand whether the site works, I record which pages are viewed and a few interactions (for example which buttons are clicked, which FAQ questions are opened, how far down the page people scroll, and whether the form was started or sent), along with the site that linked you here, your approximate location (country, region and city, worked out from your IP address), your device type, browser, operating system, language and screen size.
This uses no cookies. Your IP address is never stored: it’s used once to look up the approximate location and to make a scrambled code that changes every day, so visits can be counted without identifying you. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, no statistics are recorded at all. Location data comes from IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
Why
To read your enquiry and reply to it, and to keep a record of our conversation if we end up working together.
Where it’s stored
On my own server, in a private database. A copy of each enquiry is posted to a private chat workspace that also runs on my server, so I see new messages quickly. Nobody else has access.
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them.
How long I keep it
Enquiries: up to two years after your last message, unless we work together, in which case I keep them for as long as our working relationship needs. Visit statistics: about 13 months. After that, it’s deleted.
Your choices
You can ask to see the details I hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted at any time. Email mohamed@hossamlabs.com and I’ll do it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Storage in your browser
For the current browser session only, the site remembers that you’ve already seen the intro animation, and keeps a random visit code so the pages you view in one visit are counted together. Both disappear when you close the tab, and neither contains anything about you.
